The 2GB-Ram UL20FT XA1 does need upgrade in memory since the 2G standard is not suitable to run today’s Win 7. I added 2GB of memory for little money and this seems to give me even better performance. The LCD is good but not comparable to that of them Sony Z, VPC or TZ series that come with a vivid screen quality stellar on today market.

The Asus is remarkably a good build with a so-so touch pad and a thin look, a nice silvery top cover and blk glossy LCD bezel.

Ports availability is average: one HDMI, not thrill here. Sound/Keyboard would be considered on par with the other Asus or Acer counterparts. There is no major complaint when it comes to performance since the RAM upgrade (2GB + 4GB PC8500) especially when the laptop is not used for gaming. Too many bloatwares to clean up.

Pros:

cheap for a laptop of this size and power

great for everyday browsing

bought this for the portability, very light at just over 3 pounds

metal lid

very responsive keyboard

fast shipping via ONTRAC

haven’t had the time to check actual battery life but i estimate its about 4 hours surfing the we etc

OK speakers didn’t expect too much from them

this is just a side computer as i have a main laptop for gaming etc.
