The Asus NX90 is an amazing computer. It’s very large and at 9.7 pounds isn’t very portable, however as a desktop replacement it really works. The screen clarity is great, and the sound out of the Bang & Olufsen speakers is unreal. Runs very quiet and keyboard is nice and firm, does not bounce. Two touchpads on the two sides are a nice touch, especially not having a touchpad right in the middle of the laptop is more comfortable than I thought. It is sort of like reaching out for the mouse. Overall this computer is a great value,with top of the line specs, metal casing and very premium feel. The mirror finish looks really cool.

Toshiba Qosmio X505-Q888 TruBrite 18.4-Inch Laptop (Black/Red)

The design of this laptop is superb with black and red all over the place. The illuminated keyboard makes everything clearly visible and not to mention super fast with 4 gigs of ram. Upon first boot, it gave me some errors about LAN Ethernet not being connected by it was easily fixed when i jumped into system bios and change the setting.

The Harmon Kardon speakers are super crisp sounding and the touch music buttons on the left side of the keyboard makes playing media easy. The best thing about this laptop is that it comes with a numeric keypad that most laptops do not come with to save space. I use the numeric keypad a lot daily. This is a key reason I chose this beast, for speed and the keyboard layout. All the extras that it comes with made my decision clear.

If your looking to replace a desktop but want a big display with superb quality and decent size with a numeric keypad, this is definitely one of the laptops you should consider.

The Asus is remarkably a good build with a so-so touch pad and a thin look, a nice silvery top cover and blk glossy LCD bezel.

Ports availability is average: one HDMI, not thrill here. Sound/Keyboard would be considered on par with the other Asus or Acer counterparts. There is no major complaint when it comes to performance since the RAM upgrade (2GB + 4GB PC8500) especially when the laptop is not used for gaming. Too many bloatwares to clean up.
